About the role#
Advance Testing Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician for an internship or co-op position. This role focuses on the testing and inspection of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, and masonry. Interns will receive training and certification in sampling and testing procedures to support projects such as roads, bridges, airports, and commercial buildings.
What you'll do#
- Perform standard concrete, masonry, soil, and aggregate testing to ensure materials meet project specifications.
- Mix, sample, and test concrete and mortars to evaluate engineering properties.
- Conduct soil testing and sampling in accordance with industry standards, including ASTM, AASHTO, OCOE, and DOT methods.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or similar, or current coursework toward a BS in Civil Engineering.
- Strong focus on safe work practices and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Valid, clean driver’s license.
- Experience in construction materials testing or the construction industry is preferred, though training is provided.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, walk or work on uneven surfaces, and drive to job sites.

- Location: Campbell Hall, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $18 to $22 per hour.
- Work hours: Vary, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
- Physical requirements: Work is primarily indoors but may occasionally occur outdoors in all weather conditions.
