About the role#
Advance Testing Company, Inc. is hiring a full-time Laboratory Technician for an internship or co-op position. You will work on projects throughout the Northeastern United States. We provide training and certification for sampling and testing soil, concrete, and asphalt materials. Once certified, you will operate as a full-fledged Laboratory Technician.
What you'll do#
- Perform standard concrete, masonry, soil, and aggregate testing to ensure materials meet project specifications.
- Mix, sample, and test concrete and mortars to determine engineering properties.
- Follow testing procedures according to ASTM, AASHTO, OCOE, and DOT standards.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- An associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or similar, or current coursework toward a BS in Civil Engineering.
- A valid, clean driver license.
- A strong focus on safety protocols and independent work habits.
- Previous experience in construction materials testing is preferred, though we provide training.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work on uneven surfaces.

- Location: Campbell Hall, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time with variable hours including day, night, and weekend shifts.
- Compensation: $18 to $22 per hour.
- Term: Rolling.
