About the role#
As a Student Business Development Team Lead, you represent Starlink on behalf of the Acosta Group. This is a field-based role focused on sales, lead generation, and community outreach. You will manage an assigned territory near your campus, build awareness, and help families explore high-speed connectivity options. Beyond individual sales, you will assist with local recruiting, scheduling, and team coordination.
What you'll do#
- Own an assigned territory near campus and plan your daily routes using provided tools.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to start conversations and explain Starlink service offerings.
- Assist interested customers with your personal referral code.
- Attend community events and build local business partnerships.
- Support team coordination, recruiting, and scheduling efforts.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Attend regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review progress.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- Access to a smartphone.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ambitious, coachable, and comfortable meeting new people.
- Self-motivated and dependable nature.

- Compensation: This is a paid position offering an hourly rate plus commission for qualified activations. Additional benefits include mileage reimbursement, a cell phone stipend, and paid training.
