Fall 2026 Undergraduate Intern, Communications- Artist & Influencer Engagement

About the role#

The ACLU is seeking an Undergraduate Intern for the Artist & Influencer Engagement team within the Communications Department. This role supports efforts to engage supporters and target audiences by building narratives that protect and expand civil liberties. This is a paid, full-time or part-time position available on a remote or hybrid basis for students based in the United States.

What you'll do#

• Organize and maintain the talent database and contact lists.
• Assist with tracking social media mentions, clippings, and metric management.
• Prepare pitch documents for issue-based and campaign-related work.
• Support event production, including venue ideation, swag coordination, and display logistics.
• Conduct research across social and traditional media to identify new talent and engagement trends.
• Collaborate with communications, social media, and multimedia teams on artist engagement initiatives.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as an undergraduate student or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated interest in video production, photography, journalism, and storytelling.
• Excellent writing and research skills.
• Experience with video editing.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience working in an editorial environment is preferred.
• A commitment to advancing the ACLU mission and embedding principles of equity, inclusion, and belonging in all work.
