The ACLU is seeking an Undergraduate Intern for the Artist & Influencer Engagement team within the Communications Department. This role supports efforts to engage supporters and target audiences by building narratives that protect and expand civil liberties. This is a paid, full-time or part-time position available on a remote or hybrid basis for students based in the United States.
What you'll do#
- Organize and maintain the talent database and contact lists.
- Assist with tracking social media mentions, clippings, and metric management.
- Prepare pitch documents for issue-based and campaign-related work.
- Support event production, including venue ideation, swag coordination, and display logistics.
- Conduct research across social and traditional media to identify new talent and engagement trends.
- Collaborate with communications, social media, and multimedia teams on artist engagement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated interest in video production, photography, journalism, and storytelling.
- Excellent writing and research skills.
- Experience with video editing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience working in an editorial environment is preferred.
- A commitment to advancing the ACLU mission and embedding principles of equity, inclusion, and belonging in all work.

- Location: Remote or hybrid, based in New York City.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: Paid position.
