The Justice National Campaigns team within the National Political Advocacy Department is seeking a Graduate Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports the development and execution of national campaigns aimed at advancing civil liberties and civil rights at the federal, state, and local levels. The position is full-time (35 hours per week) for a 10-week duration, with start dates available on September 8 or September 21.
What you'll do#
- Assist with campaign strategy, operations, and the execution of initiatives that support organizational mission and values.
- Conduct research projects and contribute to the development of strategic plans for events and campaigns.
- Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate the progress of complex campaigns.
- Manage administrative tasks including meeting scheduling and note-taking.
- Attend and participate in coalition calls.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a graduate student.
- Demonstrated commitment to public interest law, civil liberties, ending mass incarceration, and challenging racism in the criminal legal system.
- Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex operational tasks.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively.
Location & details#
- This internship is fully remote and must be performed from within the United States.
- Candidates must be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.
- This position is paid at a rate of $24 per hour.
- The internship must be tied to the student's formal education program through integrated coursework or the receipt of academic credit.
