The Strategy Office within the Executive Department works with leadership to set the direction of the organization and coordinate efforts to protect and advance civil rights and civil liberties. This internship offers graduate students the opportunity to support integrated strategic planning, facilitate cross-departmental communication, and identify opportunities to advance strategic objectives.
What you'll do#
- Support annual planning and budgeting processes and internal communications.
- Assist with election safeguarding and rapid response preparations.
- Coordinate data collection on key programmatic and strategic metrics to identify learnings.
- Conduct analysis on external trends.
- Provide logistical support and agenda setting for leadership retreats.
- Draft memos, emails, and presentations while supporting project planning for office initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate program in Political Science, Public Health, Communications, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write clearly and persuasively.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to distill information into actionable insights.
- Ability to work proactively in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to working collaboratively.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote or Hybrid (New York, New York).
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Commitment: Part-time (20 hours/week for 12 weeks) or Full-time (35 hours/week for 10 weeks).
- Start dates: September 8th or September 21st.
- Compensation: $24/hr stipend.
- Requirements: Must be based in the U.S. for the duration of the internship. This position must be tied to a formal education program via integrated coursework or academic credit.
