About the role#
We are looking for a Sourcing Data Management Intern to join our team in Madison. This is a part-time internship that focuses on building a data-driven model to better understand our supply chain. You will work on-site to help us classify parts and assess supplier relationships.
What you'll do#
Your primary project is to develop a comprehensive part-level sourcing intelligence model. You will analyze our current inventory to classify parts based on sourcing flexibility and supplier dependence. This involves answering several key questions for each part:
- Determine who owns the intellectual property and if the design is proprietary to Accuray or a supplier.
- Identify if a part is custom-made or commercially available.
- Check for the existence of specialized tooling.
- Assess the spend and risk associated with current sources.
- Evaluate how critical a part is to our manufacturing and service operations.
- Determine the requirements to qualify alternative suppliers.
- Estimate the difficulty of switching suppliers.
What you'll need#
We are looking for students or graduates with a background in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration. You must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship.

This role is located in Madison, Wisconsin. It is an on-site, part-time position with a rolling term.
