    About the role#

    As an Operational Excellence Intern, you will gain practical experience by working on various projects within our production engineering team. You will support our operations while developing your own professional skills. This role reports directly to the Production Engineering Manager.

    What you'll do#

    • Gather feedback from key stakeholders regarding new products or process improvements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
    • Create and maintain web-based applications to improve process efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Identify and pitch improvement ideas, then execute approved projects.
    • Document best practices and implement new standards.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality.
    • Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop solutions.
    • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

    • Location: Mebane, North Carolina.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Status: Full-time, paid internship ($20 - $34 per hour).
