About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will support our production operations in Washington, North Carolina. You will work alongside experienced engineers to optimize production efficiency, improve product quality, and implement technical solutions. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to real projects and gain experience in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and reduce waste.
- Collect and analyze production data, including throughput, cycle time, and yield.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to perform root cause analysis on defects.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen events.
- Work with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and ensure operational reliability.
- Maintain process documentation and prepare reports or presentations for stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and methodologies.
