Logistics and Operations Intern – Road Transportation

About the role#

XTL TRANSPORT INC. is seeking a Logistics and Operations Intern to support road transportation activities. This on-site role involves working evening shifts to assist the operations team in managing daily logistics, optimizing routes, and ensuring the smooth flow of transportation services.

What you'll do#

• Support the planning and optimization of transportation routes.
• Coordinate daily pickup and delivery operations.
• Track shipments and update statuses in internal systems.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to facilitate operations.
• Prepare and process transportation documents, including delivery notes and bills of lading.
• Help resolve operational issues such as delays and logistical constraints.
• Contribute to KPI tracking, performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and transportation regulations.
• Provide general administrative and operational support.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing studies in Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• Strong interest in the transportation and supply chain industry.
• Effective communication skills in both French and English.
• Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Familiarity with a Transportation Management System (TMS) is considered an asset.
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and team-oriented mindset.
