Marketing Internship: Fall 2026

About the role#

Willis Johnson Wealth is seeking motivated college Juniors and Seniors for a Marketing and Business Development internship in our Houston office. This role provides hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and brand storytelling within a wealth management firm. Interns will work alongside team members on projects that support the firm's marketing strategy and business development efforts.

What you'll do#

• Assist in planning and scheduling social media content calendars.
• Design and create digital content for social media and marketing campaigns.
• Conduct competitor research and analyze digital marketing trends, including SEO, email marketing, webinars, and digital advertising.
• Support business development initiatives through email campaigns, outreach, and marketing materials.
• Create marketing collateral, including infographics, presentations, social media graphics, and short-form video content.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and improve content across multiple channels.

What you'll need#

• Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Strong research, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with design tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, or other graphic tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: Advanced Canva and video editing skills, experience creating short-form video content, and familiarity with financial planning concepts.
