The Human Resources Intern provides daily support to the HR team, management, and employees in both union and non-union environments. This role offers hands-on experience across various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, records management, and administrative operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist and support various Human Resources initiatives.
- Support the HR team in meeting hiring targets.
- Participate in end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Conduct employment verification checks.
- Coordinate and facilitate new-hire orientations.
- Gather data to create recruitment reports and HR documentation.
- Organize training and employee engagement activities.
- Maintain and organize employee records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Create and post HR communications for shop and office environments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time or part-time student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under the guidance of a mentor.
Location & details#
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (29 hours per week).
- Compensation: $22/hr - $25/hr.
- Physical requirements: Ability to travel within manufacturing and office facilities, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.
