About the role#
Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is seeking Clinical Interns for the Summer and Fall 2026 terms. This role is based at the Waltham community-based services site and involves providing intensive, strengths-based therapeutic services to youth and families. Interns are fully integrated into the clinical team and receive support through individual and group supervision, as well as agency-wide training initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy to clients referred by state departments and insurance providers.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop goal-oriented treatment plans.
- Perform case management and advocacy, including assisting clients with accessing services and referrals.
- Co-facilitate activity-based groups for youth.
- Participate in agency-wide initiatives and attend required pre-service training.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a graduate program related to Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or Human Resources, with a preference for final-year students.
- A valid driver’s license, a reliable car, and permission from your school to transport clients.
- Clinical or academic exposure to family work is recommended.
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 to 24 hours per week, including Tuesdays and at least two evenings per week.
