Public Relations Intern

About the role#

Walker Sands is seeking a Public Relations Intern for a 12-week, full-time paid position. This role offers exposure to the public relations industry through work with client teams specializing in various B2B sectors. The internship begins on September 7, 2026.

What you'll do#

• Develop media lists and conduct research.
• Write press releases and other project deliverables.
• Draft speaking and awards submissions.
• Prepare media briefing materials.
• Conceptualize and execute pitches while coordinating media opportunities.

What you'll need#

• A strong interest in the PR and communications industry, media trends, and storytelling.
• Excellent writing skills with a keen eye for grammar and detail.
• Ability to think on your feet, adapt to changing priorities, and work as a self-starter.
• A desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Eligibility for full-time employment upon completion of the program.
• Academic background in Communications, Journalism, Public Health, Marketing, or Business Administration.
• Finalists must complete a writing test.
