Radiology Student Worker - Diagnostic Radiology

About the role#

The Radiology Student Worker supports the Diagnostic Radiology department by assisting with the performance of high-quality radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine exams. You will work under the direct, personal supervision of a registered radiologic technologist, sonographer, or nuclear medicine technologist to provide patient care and support.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the performance of radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine examinations.
• Direct patients to imaging rooms and initiate requests for patient transportation.
• Stock and obtain necessary supplies as directed.
• Provide emotional support and assist with problem-solving in accordance with hospital and radiology policies.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited School of Radiation Sciences, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine Program.
• Current CPR-BLS certification.
• Ability to work in an environment requiring prolonged standing, walking, and repetitive motion.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and frequent customer interactions.

• Schedule: Shift rotations and hours may be adjusted to meet department needs, including potential weekday evening and weekend shifts.
