About the role#
Reporting to the French Editor, this internship supports the management of UNDP’s French-language social media channels and digital editorial content. The role involves drafting content, developing creative concepts for digital assets, and supporting global campaigns and event coverage to expand the reach and impact of communications in French.
What you'll do#
- Draft, adapt, schedule, and publish content for French-language social media channels while ensuring alignment with editorial and brand guidelines.
- Manage the French-language social media editorial calendar to reflect organizational priorities and global campaigns.
- Research and identify content for adaptation to ensure a diverse mix of material.
- Create visual content, including graphics and short-form videos.
- Translate, review, and proofread social media copy between English and French.
- Monitor social media performance, prepare analytics reports, and identify content trends.
- Manage audience engagement by responding to comments and messages.
- Support live coverage for strategic events and global campaigns.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a graduate program, the final year of a bachelor’s degree, or recent graduation within the last year.
- Native proficiency in French and fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proven ability to manage social media platforms and create digital content.
- Solid writing and editing skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- High attention to detail.
- Interest in global issues and the United Nations.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
