About the role#
The Manager, Externship Career Services leads, coaches, and develops a team responsible for providing personalized career guidance to students and alumni. This role focuses on connecting qualified candidates with job opportunities while nurturing relationships with employers. The position requires a leader who can foster a culture of wellness, accountability, and engagement while driving team performance to meet organizational goals.
What you'll do#
- Ensure efficient and effective daily conversion of interviews, hires, and placements.
- Manage communication, forecasting, and support for current students, graduating students, and alumni.
- Guide graduates through the interview and hiring process, including interview preparation and onboarding support.
- Cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders, including students, alumni, and employers.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members through regular call monitoring, one-on-one sessions, and professional development.
- Handle manager-level customer service, re-engagement, and de-escalation calls as needed.
- Execute functional strategies to achieve short-term organizational goals.
What you'll need#
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in recruiting, career services, employment assistance, or sales.
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Computer literacy and basic skills to navigate required technology.
- Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, and presentation skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The work modality is fully remote, though occasional planned onsite travel is required.
- Candidates must have a home office setup with a quiet workspace and a high-speed, hard-wired internet connection.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required as needed.
- This role is on a rolling term.
