People & Organizational Culture Intern (co-op term)

About the role#

This co-operative education placement within the People and Organizational Culture (P&OC) team offers experience in HR process development, systems improvement, and digital workplace solutions. Working within an Indigenous-led organization, this role involves navigating HR practices through a lens of decolonization and aligning duties with the principles of Etuaptmumk and Netukulimk. You will support the design and implementation of a SharePoint site for the P&OC team to enhance collaboration and operational effectiveness across a multi-entity organizational ecosystem.

What you'll do#

• Support the design, development, and implementation of the P&OC SharePoint site.
• Assist with recruitment activities and candidate administration using HRIS systems.
• Process routine P&OC transactions in compliance with organizational policies and benefits programs.
• Maintain accurate employee records and P&OC documentation.
• Organize and maintain electronic records and filing systems.
• Support additional P&OC duties as required.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a recognized post-secondary co-operative education program with eligibility for a Fall 2026 work term.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously.
• Ability to exercise initiative and work independently.
• High regard for accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check.

• Term: Fall 2026.
• Modality: Remote (based in Millbrook, Nova Scotia).
• Compensation: $19.00 per hour.
• Status: Full-time intern.
• Eligibility: Applicants must be eligible for the Nova Scotia Co-operative Education Incentive (CEI) Program.
