    About the role#

    The Electrical Engineering Intern will assist laboratory staff in improving the quality and customer satisfaction of private-branded retail products. You will help ensure that products and manufacturing processes meet specifications and national, state, and local requirements. This role involves monitoring process controls and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the supply chain.

    What you'll do#

    • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solutions, and providing feedback to clients regarding capability, tolerancing, and material handling.
    • Assist in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), control plans, and measurement system analysis.
    • Analyze and interpret assessment, test, and inspection results to determine the root cause of failures and non-conformities.
    • Conduct data validation, statistical analyses, and data mapping to support reporting and analytics.
    • Communicate and reinforce the commitment to quality improvement efforts.
    • Support the review and resolution of issues with suppliers, factories, and other supply chain components.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology program.
    • At least 18 years of age and legally permitted to work in the United States.
    • Solid understanding of circuit analysis with at least two major-related courses completed.
    • Practical experience with basic soldering, hand tools, drills, and measuring equipment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interface professionally with clients.
    • Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player.
