TPG Rise Climate is seeking a Research Assistant for the Fall 2026 term to support the development of the Climate Digest. This role focuses on researching and drafting a biweekly climate newsletter that informs TPG team members and investors about recent technological advances, policies, corporate actions, and other developments in the climate space. You will work closely with experienced team members to deepen your expertise in climate and communications while supporting impact assessments and decision-making processes.
What you'll do#
- Research and draft the TPG Rise Climate biweekly newsletter.
- Identify and relay recent technological advances and policy updates in the climate sector.
- Collaborate with experienced team members to produce high-quality insights.
- Support broader impact assessments and decision-making initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student status.
- Demonstrated experience or academic interest in environmental science, journalism, communications, climate tech, economics, public policy, or a relevant field.
- Ability to concisely synthesize complex information for a target audience.
- Exceptional project management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of stakeholder engagement needs within a financial firm.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship is not provided).
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026 (Late-August through Mid-December).
- Modality: Remote. Interns must be located in one of the following states: AZ, CA, DC, FL, GA, IL, NJ, NY, TN, TX, VA, WI, AR, CO, IN, KY, LA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NC, OH, PA, SC, UT, WA, or WY. In-person work may be an option if located near a TPG office.
- Commitment: Part-time, 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid position at $20/hour.
