About the role#
The Music Business Intern will support the development, marketing, and daily operations of the music division at The Familie. This role provides exposure to artist management, social media strategy, public relations, and the business side of the music industry. The position is unpaid but eligible for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Assist with talent management tasks including scheduling, communication, and logistics.
- Support the planning and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Conduct research on industry trends, emerging talent, and potential partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate live events, virtual performances, and promotional appearances.
- Assist with public relations efforts.
- Support the planning, execution, and strategy of social media efforts for client brands.
- Create content for social media platforms.
- Perform administrative tasks such as organizing files, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a university, with a preference for juniors or seniors.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- An interest or experience in the music and entertainment industry.
- Familiarity with music, culture, and digital content.
- Academic background in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or Business Administration.
Location & details#
- Location: Nashville, Tennessee.
- Modality: On-site, 2-3 days per week.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 14 through November 25).
- Commitment: 12-18 hours weekly.
