About the role#
The Start Your Legacy HBCU Externship in the Finance track provides a six-week opportunity to explore financial strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and investment management. This program is designed for students to gain insight into the fiscal policies and analytical decision-making that support global business operations. Participants will engage in professional development, mentorship, and networking with company employees.
What you'll do#
- Participate in one virtual session every Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM EST.
- Attend a two-day onsite experience at the company headquarters in Atlanta from November 5 to November 6, 2026.
- Apply knowledge and skills during the Final Showcase Competition held at the Atlanta headquarters.
- Engage with the professional network of company employees.
- Gain exposure to operations within the consumer packaged goods industry.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment at an HBCU.
- Pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A graduation date after May 2028.
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to commit to all weekly virtual sessions and the in-person experience in Atlanta.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 28 to November 6, 2026).
- Modality: Remote, with a mandatory two-day onsite finale in Atlanta.
- Compensation: $250 per week for participation in required sessions, plus potential award dollars for competition outcomes and covered travel expenses for the onsite finale.
- Status: This is a contracted position facilitated through a third-party agency.
