About the role#

Telecare Corporation offers internship opportunities for students in Psychology, Public Health, and Nursing. These positions are based on a recovery model, supporting adults aged 18 and older referred from psychiatric hospitals, county systems, and the community. Interns work within a multidisciplinary team to provide care for individuals experiencing conditions such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, PTSD, and Major Depression.

What you'll do#

• Conduct individual and group mental health rehabilitation sessions.
• Provide targeted case management services.
• Complete progress notes and required documentation, including Medi-Cal, Medicare, and contract-specific forms.
• Participate in weekly training sessions and staff meetings regarding intakes, assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
• Perform Telehealth services from the office while adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols.
• Engage in group supervision with interns from various disciplines.

What you'll need#

• Understanding of mental health rehabilitation principles.
• Experience with case management.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and corporate compliance.
• Ability to participate in group supervision and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
