Technical Writer - Intern

About the role#

Tecsys is seeking a Technical Writer Intern for a four-month position during the Fall 2026 term, running from September 8, 2026, to December 18, 2026. This role focuses on the company's warehouse management system (WMS) software. You will assist in updating documentation and creating web help and standalone documents while collaborating with clients, suppliers, business partners, and internal teams.

What you'll do#

• Update documentation using the Oxygen tool suite and the DITA standard.
• Create web help and additional standalone technical documents.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure documentation accuracy.

What you'll need#

• Strong writing skills, demonstrated through technical writing samples.
• Experience with authoring tools such as Oxygen, Structured FrameMaker, or XMetaL.
• Understanding of structured authoring principles and DITA concepts.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Familiarity with agile software development practices.
• Preferred: Experience in a warehouse environment or knowledge of warehouse terminology, familiarity with Git operations, and proficiency in French.
• Applicants must be a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident of Canada, or hold a valid Canadian work permit.
