Intern - DevOps

About the role#

Tecsys is seeking a DevOps intern for a 4-month paid internship within the Research and Development department. You will join a Scrum team focused on cloud migration and the optimization of cloud architectures within an AWS ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to work on logistics systems that support healthcare operations while learning from experienced architects and developers.

What you'll do#

• Improve deployment and integration tools using Docker containers.
• Participate in the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Employ test-driven development (TDD) techniques and develop test automation strategies.
• Perform code reviews for peers.
• Participate in team Scrum meetings including planning, analysis, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate on the improvement of continuous integration techniques and processes.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a university program for Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in written and verbal English.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages and Scrum/Agile methodology.
• A willingness to work within a DevOps team.
• Logical, organized approach with strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the following is considered an asset: SQL, JDBC, Java, Maven, Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Amazon Web Services, and Linux server platforms.
• Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid Canadian work permit.
