Engineering Co-op

About the role#

Teck Resources Limited is seeking two Engineering Co-op students to join the Asset Management team within the Operations Excellence department. This is an 8-month, full-time, on-site position based in Calgary, Alberta, beginning September 8, 2025. This role supports senior engineers on technical projects and requires students to be enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution throughout the term.

What you'll do#

• Act as a safety leader by adhering to and promoting all safety and environmental procedures.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop maintenance strategies for critical fixed assets.
• Assist in the coordination, scheduling, and monitoring of maintenance projects related to plant and mine expansions and modifications.
• Troubleshoot recurrent equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Create and evaluate innovative technologies and ideas to improve business processes.
• Manage project costs, analyze data, and monitor progress in collaboration with site operations.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Previous technical or engineering work experience is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Solidworks, form design, macros, and data analysis is an asset.

• Term: Fall 2025 (8-month duration).
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: Paid position ($4,700 - $6,000 per month, commensurate with experience and academic progress).
