Gameday Internship

About the role#

The Gameday Internship is an entry-level opportunity for students interested in sports management, event management, and hospitality within collegiate athletics. This role supports the Hospitality Manager in the successful execution of Mississippi State University Athletics hospitality operations. Interns will gain hands-on experience in premium area management, staff supervision, and event logistics.

What you'll do#

• Assist in managing designated premium areas during home football and basketball games.
• Provide direct staffing and supervision for a team of 50+ gameday personnel.
• Ensure all game day policies and procedures regarding admission, food and beverage, and operations are upheld.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain game day supplies and materials before, during, and after events.
• Serve as a primary point of communication for gameday staff, athletic donors, and athletics department personnel.

What you'll need#

• Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work nights and weekends, including all MSU home football games and the day prior to each game.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Previous experience in hospitality or guest relations is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Canva.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, or Kinesiology.

• Term: Fall 2026 (August 2026 – December 2026).
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: This is a paid internship at $14.00/hour.
