About the role#
This internship provides real-world engineering experience within the agricultural industry. Working under the Mechanical Engineering Lead, you will support the company's goals through hands-on assembly, engineering testing, and documentation. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Manhattan, Kansas, running from August 2026 through May 2027. Note that a previous or current summer internship with SurePoint Ag Systems is required to be eligible for this role.
What you'll do#
- Participate in hands-on assembly and engineering testing.
- Utilize CAD software for design and documentation tasks.
- Communicate project updates and technical information to co-workers and customers.
- Learn the company's specific products, services, software, and system processes.
- Contribute to team objectives and adapt to changing workplace requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture, or Civil Engineering.
- Experience with SolidWorks or CAD software.
- Practical experience with hands-on assembly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and interpersonal dialogue.
