Mechanical Engineering Internship

About the role#

This internship provides real-world engineering experience within the agricultural industry. Working under the Mechanical Engineering Lead, you will support the company's goals through hands-on assembly, engineering testing, and documentation. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Manhattan, Kansas, running from August 2026 through May 2027. Note that a previous or current summer internship with SurePoint Ag Systems is required to be eligible for this role.

What you'll do#

• Participate in hands-on assembly and engineering testing.
• Utilize CAD software for design and documentation tasks.
• Communicate project updates and technical information to co-workers and customers.
• Learn the company's specific products, services, software, and system processes.
• Contribute to team objectives and adapt to changing workplace requirements.

What you'll need#

• Current undergraduate status with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture, or Civil Engineering.
• Experience with SolidWorks or CAD software.
• Practical experience with hands-on assembly.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective solutions.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills, including writing and interpersonal dialogue.
