As a Payments Engineering Intern, you will join the team responsible for building the payment processing, fraud, and risk management technologies that power billing and checkout experiences. You will contribute to full-stack projects, working on both frontend and backend components to deliver features that impact business metrics and user experience.
What you'll do#
- Ship technically challenging projects end-to-end.
- Write production-ready, well-tested code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including data, growth, marketing, and business stakeholders.
- Enable web and app tracking for marketing analytics and conversion attribution.
- Work within a team of developers using Python (FastAPI), React (TypeScript), Postgres, Redis, and AWS/Kubernetes.
What you'll need#
- At least 8 months of full-stack web development experience, preferably in a startup environment.
- Proficiency in modern Python and experience with web services, SaaS, or internal tools.
- Interest in working across the full stack, specifically with React and Python.
- Ability to decode complex problems with logical, well-reasoned solutions.
- A strong aptitude for learning new languages and technologies quickly.
- Experience taking ownership of feature delivery from start to finish.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – August 28, 2027).
- Modality: Remote, with a requirement to maintain a minimum 6-hour overlap with Eastern Time.
- Compensation: CA$34.50 – CA$40.00 per hour.
- Benefits: Includes a home office setup allowance, weekly food allowance, and learning and wellness stipends.
- Employment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
