CAD Intern

About the role#

As a CAD Intern, you will contribute to real-world projects while gaining hands-on experience in your engineering discipline. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to learn industry standards and contribute to the delivery of infrastructure and facility solutions.

What you'll do#

• Assist team members with the preparation and execution of project tasks across your specific discipline.
• Apply industry standards and company policies under the guidance of project leads, ensuring all work is documented with accuracy.
• Attend team meetings to capture notes, track action items, and follow up on due dates to keep projects moving.
• Participate in internal and external trainings, lunch-and-learns, and site walks to build practical field experience.
• Seek opportunities to expand your technical skills and share insights from your recent coursework with the team.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and peers, ask questions proactively, and escalate project blockers early.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Foundational knowledge of theories and methodologies relevant to your engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills, including clear verbal communication.
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
