The Fall 2026 Culinary Internship offers practical experience in theme park kitchen operations. Interns gain exposure to various culinary functions while applying academic theory to real-world tasks. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
What you'll do#
- Train and work across various kitchen sections, including dishwashing, receiving, prep cooking, line cooking, and baking.
- Manage administrative duties, including P&L responsibilities such as labor management, cost analysis, and inventory control.
- Attend Leadership Development classes and weekly intern meetings.
- Execute a special project benefiting the Foods area as determined by management.
- Assist with menu creation and implementation of quality assurance standards.
- Maintain flexibility to work at different locations throughout The Dollywood Company.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a continuing education or college program.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to comply with all Health Department, ServSafe, and company food safety regulations.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles, requiring a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing or walking for shifts up to 13 hours.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Successful completion of a background screening, including criminal history and motor vehicle record checks.
