Enterprise Data & AI Intern- Fall 2026 Internship

About the role#

Sentara Health is offering a Fall 2026 internship for students to gain experience in data analytics, data engineering, and business intelligence within a healthcare environment. Interns will work alongside professionals to build and validate data pipelines, analyze healthcare data, and develop dashboards. You will contribute to real-world projects and complete a capstone project focused on data quality, automation, or analytics.

What you'll do#

• Support team members with project tasks and deliverables.
• Contribute to the development and execution of departmental projects.
• Conduct research and analysis on topics relevant to the department.
• Prepare and organize data for presentations and reports.
• Assist with administrative duties, including scheduling meetings and reporting progress.
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in or pursuing a graduate-level program.
• Academic or practical interest in data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, computer science, or healthcare technology.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Strong research, analysis, and communication skills.
• Majors in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or Health Administration are preferred.

• Term: Fall 2026.
• Duration: 8-10 weeks.
• Hours: 30-40 hours per week.
• Modality: Remote.
