NURSE INTERN / Med Surg

About the role#

Schneck Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Intern for the Med Surg department for the Summer 2026 term. This is a paid, on-site internship designed for nursing students or recent graduates to gain clinical experience in a hospital setting.

What you'll do#

• Assist with patient care and provide basic nursing assistance as required.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver quality care to patients.
• Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a nursing program or recent graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of at least one semester of clinical experience in a medical services program or accredited nursing school.
• Eligibility to sit for the Indiana State Nursing Board exam.
• CPR certification.
• Requirement to pass the NCLEX within 180 days of graduation and within 2 attempts.
