About the role#
The Tree Care Estimating Intern is a seasonal, field-based position for students interested in the tree care industry. You will support the estimating process by gathering field data to help Sales Arborists prepare client proposals. This role provides hands-on training in arboriculture, tree identification, and professional service evaluation.
What you'll do#
- Assist the estimating process by gathering field data.
- Work alongside skilled crews on General Tree Care and Plant Health Care teams.
- Shadow Sales Arborists and office staff to understand operations and client relations.
- Learn and apply safety protocols and industry best practices.
- Gain exposure to arboriculture and tree identification skills.
What you'll need#
- Current student pursuing a degree in Horticulture, Environmental Engineering, Human Resources, Agriculture, Urban Planning, Biology, History, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the U.S.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Motivation to learn and grow.

- Location: Tampa, Florida, USA.
- Term: Summer 2026 (through October).
- Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid ($18.00–$21.00 per hour).
- Modality: On-site.
