About the role#
The ASPIRE Software Developer Undergraduate Intern position supports the Department of Energy’s national security mission. Interns work with the Business Applications team to support key projects while contributing to a professional environment focused on trust and integrity.
What you'll do#
- Design, implement, and manage software applications.
- Write and debug code to support project objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities.
- Troubleshoot software issues.
What you'll need#
- US Citizenship.
- Enrollment in an undergraduate STEM program with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, C#, Linux, and SQL.
- Strong critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.

- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- This is a paid internship.
