Student Nurse Intern Summer Start - PM

About the role#

Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital is seeking a Student Nurse Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, on-site internship offers nursing students the opportunity to provide care for neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients under the direct supervision of a Staff Nurse.

What you'll do#

• Perform prescribed nursing care, including vital signs, patient assessments, ADLs, phlebotomy, POC testing, and tracheostomy care.
• Assist with tube feedings, dressing changes, and sterile catheterization.
• Document patient information clearly and accurately in the medical record.
• Organize daily workload to prioritize patient care needs.
• Participate in department initiatives, unit meetings, and special projects.
• Adhere to infection control policies and maintain patient confidentiality.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of a fundamentals of nursing course.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 35 lbs.

Location & details#

• Location: Maryland Heights, Missouri.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm – 7:30 am). Interns must work at least two shifts within a 6-week period.
• Mandatory Orientation: June 16, 17, 18, 19, and 23 (8:00 am – 4:30 pm).
