About the role#

Milwaukee Magazine is seeking editorial interns for the Fall 2026 term. This professional role provides an opportunity to contribute to both print editions and the magazine's website. Interns participate in the editorial process, from initial brainstorming to final review, while gaining experience in a professional journalistic environment.

What you'll do#

• Conduct rigorous fact-checking for editorial content.
• Write articles for print and digital platforms.
• Contribute to larger research projects.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to help shape the magazine's editorial direction.
• Edit and review content for accuracy and style.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a program where you can receive college course credit for this internship.
• Experience in a journalistic environment, such as a professional or student publication.
• Proficiency in AP Style.
• A strong commitment to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to dedicate 15-20 hours per week.
• Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or Media Studies.
