Social Media Intern

About the role#

Qode Social is seeking a Social Media Intern for a 6-month, paid internship. This role provides an opportunity to assist the social media team in developing and executing client campaigns. This is a full-time student position requiring 2 days of in-office work per week.

What you'll do#

• Develop, execute, and optimize digital campaigns from conception to launch.
• Build media buys for various ad platforms and oversee the day-to-day execution of paid media.
• Oversee and manage paid media budgets, conduct keyword research, and perform audience targeting.
• Provide actionable insights into campaign performance and evaluate relevant KPIs.
• Research promotional opportunities and write copy for social media posts.
• Manage client accounts, perform community management, and conduct social media audits.
• Post client blogs to their websites and moderate social media content.

What you'll need#

• Must be enrolled in a full-time Canadian post-secondary program with a focus on Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Media Studies.
• Must be a Canadian resident, citizen, or have refugee status.
• Excellent internet research and computer skills.
• Strong interest and knowledge in social media trends and paid advertising.
• Superior editing skills for both context and syntax.
• Proficiency in Facebook Business Manager, Photoshop, Hootsuite, and WordPress is considered an asset.
