About the role#
The Summer 2026 Construction Project Engineer Internship at PULLMAN provides hands-on experience through the Project Engineer Career Development (PECD) program. Interns work with the New York City team on projects focused on historic preservation and restoration in the public sector. This role emphasizes in-field learning and development, requiring interns to spend approximately 50% of their time on job sites across Manhattan.
What you'll do#
- Assist in scheduling and production rate tracking.
- Support estimating and budget preparation efforts.
- Participate in project cost control and financial management.
- Assist with safety management and quality control protocols.
- Engage in business development, client relations, and field resource management.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, with preference for Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- A cumulative grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional documentation and organizational skills.
- A strong aptitude for problem-solving.
- Reliable transportation for travel between the office and job sites.
