About the role#
The Event Planning Intern gains practical experience by assisting with the planning and execution of employee, business, and community events. This role supports the coordination of logistics, timelines, and documentation while providing administrative support for meetings and year-end celebrations. This is a part-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning and execution of employee, business, and community events.
- Support the coordination of event logistics, timelines, schedules, and planning documents.
- Coordinate event materials, supplies, catering, transportation, and vendor-related logistics.
- Assist with venue preparation, event setup, on-site support, and post-event activities.
- Maintain event records, planning files, inventories, and related documentation.
- Assist with communications and coordination among internal stakeholders, vendors, and event participants.
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling, meeting preparation, and travel-related documentation.
- Support event evaluation activities and compile information for post-event reviews.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in hospitality, event management, business administration, civil engineering, psychology, communications, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two event planning or hospitality related courses.
- One year of general work experience, preferably in a professional office environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Current driver’s license and the ability to remain insurable under a corporate vehicle liability policy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Collins, Colorado.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Schedule: Part-time, up to 29 hours per week for approximately four months. Occasional evening or after-hours support may be required, including a mandatory full-day and evening commitment on December 5.
