The Natural Resources Intern - Agriculture will assist with cultivating plants for research and commercial purposes under the direction of the Greenhouse Manager. This position offers hands-on experience in vegetable and floriculture crop production, covering both traditional row-based and market-garden style cultivation techniques.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the cultivation and propagation of vegetable crops and cut flowers.
- Scout crops regularly to identify pests and diseases and learn appropriate control methods.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, irrigation systems, and hand tools.
- Learn and implement harvest and packing methods for various crops.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of chemicals and production data.
- Follow standard safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment in a variety of environmental conditions.
What you'll need#
- A valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety standards and workplace policies.
- Ability to work in damp and warm conditions.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds daily.
- No previous experience is required for this role.

- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour.
