Pharmacy Intern (per diem)

About the role#

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to work in a per diem capacity. This role involves working under the supervision of a clinical pharmacist to support pharmacy operations. Interns will work variable hours and shifts, including weekends, depending on the schedule and student availability during the school session.

What you'll do#

• Manage the distribution of medications.
• Assist pharmacists with clinical duties as permitted by law.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals to provide patient care.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, walking up to 5 miles per shift, and lifting or pulling up to 25 lbs.
• Utilize fine motor skills for writing, computer use, and communication via phone, text, and email.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a College of Pharmacy accredited by the Washington Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission (PQAQ).
• Valid registration as a Pharmacy Intern with the Washington State Department of Health.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally with staff and patients.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to maintain calm, reasoned judgment in stressful or emergent situations.
