Student Sonographer - Echo-Vascular Lab- PRN

About the role#

The Student Sonographer role in the Echo-Vascular Lab provides an opportunity to gain clinical experience under immediate supervision. You will work alongside physicians and preceptors to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures, supporting the daily operations of the laboratory.

What you'll do#

• Assist in performing diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures using cardiovascular and radiologic technologies.
• Prepare patients for upcoming procedures.
• Perform clinical procedures according to established practice standards, guidelines, and protocols.
• Maintain accurate department records, reports, and files.
• Manage inventory by ordering and stocking supplies, and ensure the procedure area remains clean and prepared for patient use.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technology program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• Foundational knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Understanding of diagnostic cardiovascular or radiologic technology procedures.
• Ability to operate equipment associated with your primary specialty.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and patients.
