Legal Intern

About the role#

OCI Energy is seeking a Legal Intern to support the legal department in the development and operation of solar power and battery energy storage projects. This role reports to Legal Counsel and involves assisting with real estate, corporate, and transactional support services. The position is based in San Antonio, Texas.

What you'll do#

• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and drafting corporate transaction agreements and ancillary documents.
• Support the management of corporate transactions throughout their lifecycle, from inception to closing.
• Provide legal advice regarding corporate governance, financing, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and real property rights.
• Conduct legal research on corporate law issues and regulatory requirements to inform transaction strategy.
• Ensure all corporate documents meet firm and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate legal records.
• Assist with due diligence, closing packages, and coordination with opposing counsel.

What you'll need#

• A Juris Doctor degree from a U.S. ABA-accredited university or a Texas Supreme Court-approved university.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project or case management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and transactional software.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
