The Pretrial & Justice Services internship offers an opportunity to gain professional experience within local government. This part-time, paid position involves working alongside experienced staff to support departmental operations and projects that serve the residents of Oakland County.
What you'll do#
- Assist with gathering, organizing, and analyzing data for reports, special projects, and operational needs.
- Prepare written reports, presentations, and other business documents.
- Conduct research, interviews, and information gathering with County staff, clients, and external agencies.
- Accompany professional staff on assignments to learn departmental operations, processes, and best practices.
- Communicate with County departments and outside organizations to share information.
- Utilize software applications to complete assignments and support daily operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Academic standing as a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Interest in fields such as Political Science, Psychology, Public Health, or Criminal Justice.

- Compensation: $18.61 - $21.71 per hour.
