What you'll do#
- Conduct research, compile data, and perform basic statistical calculations to support decision-making.
- Assist in preparing written reports, presentations, and other professional documentation.
- Conduct interviews with clients, employees, or community members to gather information.
- Utilize department-specific software and Countywide systems to manage projects and maintain records.
- Accompany professional staff on assignments to observe processes and contribute to project work.
- Communicate with other County departments and outside agencies to exchange information.
- Travel to County facilities or off-site locations as needed to support departmental operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university as a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Academic focus in fields such as Public Health, Psychology, Political Science, Sociology, or Human Resources.
- Knowledge of program analysis, evaluation, research methods, and statistics.
- Ability to plan and complete assignments within established deadlines.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email software.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

- Compensation: $18.61 - $21.71 per hour
- Term: Rolling
- Note: Candidates assigned to Children’s Village must provide documentation from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services confirming they have not been named in a central registry case for child abuse or neglect. A criminal history check is also required.
