About the role#
As a Public Relations Intern, you will work within a corporate communications department to support media relations and strategic communications initiatives. You will collaborate with a hiring manager and mentor to develop content that builds awareness of the company value proposition. This is a paid, part-time, on-site internship for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Support media relations efforts by developing pitches and background documents.
- Draft news releases, media briefing documents, and social media copy.
- Monitor external media relations inquiries and curate news clips.
- Conduct media trainings and manage necessary approval processes.
- Participate in professional development workshops, senior leadership Q&A sessions, and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of May 2027 or later.
- Previous work or classroom experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Journalism.
- Proficiency in AP style and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities with a self-motivated approach.
