About the role#
This is a full-time Software Engineering internship based in Melbourne, Florida, for the Summer 2027 term. Interns will join the Aeronautics Systems Intern Program and work within the Software Engineering directorate. The role involves interacting with users, customers, and other developers to support engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Operate related equipment, conduct tests, and report data in a prescribed format.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks, making adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Expected graduation date after October 2027.
- Major in a STEM field, including Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
