Social Media Content Marketing Intern

About the role#

NetEase is seeking a creative Social Media Content Marketing Intern to join the global marketing team. This role supports the development and execution of social media initiatives for the open-world action-adventure RPG, Where Winds Meet. You will work alongside the User Growth team to monitor trends, research community interests, and contribute to campaigns that engage gaming audiences across English-speaking platforms.

What you'll do#

• Monitor social media platforms, including X (Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and Discord, to identify emerging trends, viral formats, and relevant gaming conversations.
• Assist in brainstorming content ideas and campaign concepts specifically tailored for gaming audiences.
• Research gaming creators, influencers, streamers, and community trends within the English-speaking market.
• Manage content calendar tasks, coordinate publishing, and support the preparation of social media copy and assets.
• Collect and organize performance data to monitor engagement metrics and identify content optimization opportunities.
• Ensure content is culturally relevant and aligned with community interests through ongoing review and analysis.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• A strong passion for video games, particularly action RPGs, open-world games, and online gaming communities.
• Familiarity with the Wuxia genre or the game Where Winds Meet is highly desirable.
• Active usage of social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and X (Twitter).
• A deep understanding of English-speaking social media culture, internet trends, memes, and platform-specific content formats.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Chinese is highly preferred to facilitate cross-team collaboration with game development teams in China.

• This is a remote, full-time, paid internship.
• The role is open to candidates based in Canada or the United States.
• This position operates on a rolling basis.
