NetEase is seeking a User Research Intern to support research initiatives focused on game players. You will contribute to product strategy by uncovering player behaviors, motivations, and experience needs to inform game design. This role involves working closely with product development teams to provide actionable research insights and staying current with industry trends.
What you'll do#
- Assist with user research across various game products, including survey design, participant recruitment, user interviews, and playtest coordination.
- Provide professional research recommendations to product teams and track user experience issues throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute market insights to support product strategy and decision-making.
- Immerse yourself in gaming communities and monitor emerging trends in the entertainment industry.
What you'll need#
- A background in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Communications, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science.
- Passion for video games with a strong understanding of the North American gaming market.
- At least three months of experience playing PC shooters or MMORPGs.
- Experience conducting surveys or user interviews.
- Proficiency with at least two AI tools to support your workflow.
- Fluency in English with the ability to facilitate in-depth discussions and collaborate with global teams.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in Canada or the United States.
- The internship is full-time and offered on a rolling basis.
- Candidates should be available to work at least three days per week for a minimum of three months; a six-month commitment is preferred.
- Flexibility is required to collaborate effectively across China Standard Time (CST).
