Engineering/Operations Intern 2026 (NFC)

About the role#

The Engineering/Operations Intern will work on-site at Neenah Foundry during the Summer 2026 term. This is a paid, full-time position focused on managing projects and supporting production operations.

What you'll do#

• Manage small to medium-sized projects of medium complexity, including defining goals, scope, and progress reporting.
• Evaluate needs, analyze options, develop project plans, and manage implementation through completion.
• Develop procedures and provide training on new processes, tools, and equipment.
• Define preventative and predictive maintenance requirements and perform mechanical evaluations of equipment.
• Support production operations by identifying and resolving obstacles.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to manage projects from evaluation through implementation.
• Experience or coursework in developing operational procedures and training materials.
• Capability to troubleshoot production obstacles.
